Mono Gráfico Colectivo, former Los de Abajo Printmaking Collective, is an ethnically diverse group of artists (Mexico, USA, Vietnam) committed to the promotion of Printmaking through collective projects and collaborative artworks, as well as workshops and exhibitions.

 

The group’s mission is to push the boundaries of printmaking in order to explore new techniques and new forms of expression. The Collective was founded in 2004 by a group of artists working at Self Help Graphics, the renowned East Los Angeles Art Center. Throughout the years, the group has been involved in many collective projects, including large format works and portfolios.  

 

Since its foundation, Mono Gráfico Colectivo -former Los de Abajo Printmaking Collective- has had solo shows at Taller Boricua in New York City, Self-Help Graphics in LA, Avenue 50 Studio in Highland Park, El Nopal Press in Downtown LA, Left of Center Gallery, Las Vegas, El Museo de la Tortuga in Oaxaca, Pasadena Community College, Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural and El Instituto de Cultura de Baja California, among others.
